The last great Mexican food I had was eaten at Garcia’s - over 35 years ago so I was excited to see that they were still serving and hopefully that they had made it even better. We got our chance last night to eat there again; our whole family, 7 adults and 7 children. The table was set for us with chips and salsa laid out. Their salsa picante was Extraordinaryly great. My wife’s favorite memories included their plain nachos with cheese and chiles-Not last night, they must have had a cheese shortage-boo! I asked for chili Colorado, but the Chicano waiter didn’t have a clue, nor did the kitchen! After I had bragged on their chimichangas, it arrived over cooked and dry. The rest of our party was unimpressed. The children’s meals were all OK, but nothing special. They did make a large and repeated push for margaritas; it seems that is their current focus not cuisine; perhaps some corporate edict removed the standard of fine dining to become a bar.
The original Garcia's restaurant is still the best. Their pollo fundido is outstanding. Chips and salsa, tacos, and chimichangas are all excellent. Parking: Off hours parking is good, but you may have trouble finding a spot during high volume times. Wheelchair accessibility: 1st level, with ramps and easy wheelchair access.
My visit was pleasant and tasty. I had the green burrito. Excellent seasoning very good tortilla.Price is right.
Garcia's is a great place to go eat lunch. I been going to Gracia's since I was a kid. Love it. And if you can't dine in. They got drive thur.. Vegetarian options: Just tell them how you want it.. there very good on following people order's.
