The wedding cake they made for us was absolutely delicious! Our guests were raving about it and we had seconds the next morning! The entire team at Gambino's Bakery was professional and helpful with all of our questions and any changes that needed to be made. They delivered on time and were wonderful! Highly recommend!

Super disappointed to order $70 worth of king cake and not receive my order. The online ordering must be a scam or something because you can't contact anyone about your orders and get replies. I wish I wouldn't have made the order, now to spend more time on the phone with my credit card company to dispute this fraudulent company's charge.

I ordered a King cake on-line, paid $29 for Fed ex shipping to be delivered in time for the Super Bowl. Not only did it not arrive, I can’t get a response from Gambinos. Beware!!

"I purchased one of your king cakes from the Kroger's at Clarksville Highway, Nashville, Tennessee, and there was no plastic baby inside of the cake, in which that your box says there will be one inside. The cake itself was good, in which we had a Mardi gras breakfast and everyone enjoyed the cake, but it was a let down, that no one will be receiving good luck from the plastic baby Jesus." I sent this to the customer service, of Gambino's Bakery, in which my reply was "I'm sorry. Please contact the store manager that the cake was purchased from." Cool, your bakery is producing thousands of these cakes, in which your bakery sells to Kroger's... I am letting you know that "YOUR" bakery is missing a key component. Not Kroger's. Thank you.

Extremely dishearten that I have to write this review, but it needs to be known, especially for anyone that is using Gambino's shipping option. If I could, I would give them zero stars. I've had their King Cakes before as I was born and raised in Louisiana. Unfortunately, I enlisted and PCS overseas, but I always make a point to have a King Cake shipped to me. Everytime I recieved one, it was always overnighted, had dry ice packs, bubble wrapped. Whenever I would open those packages, the cake was perfect! Just if as I ordered them the same day! For this year, I decided to order two in advance for a birthday party. I requested the cakes be delivered on the 12th. On the 6th, I got an email saying that a label had been made for the package 1st Red Flag. I thought nothing of it because maybe the label had to be made ahead of time. On the 8th, I got a notice that the package was picked up. 2nd Red Flag. Again, I thought the cakes were just going to get here early. On the 11th, I got an email saying it still hasn't made to my area. Suddenly, on the eve of the 12th, the package arrived! Just in time for the party! When I went to open the package, I was overwhelmed with the smell of yeast and strong odor of spoiled food. These are photos of the cakes. It was nothing but a spoiled mushy mess. I had to run to a random bakery at the last minute to get a store bought cake and hide the cakes, but one of the guest found them in the kitchen. If I had known this was going to happened, I would have never spent $100 on this. It was hot, melted, and crushed. It's unsafe to eat! For comparison, I have also included a picture of the previous King Cake I got shipped to me from home. It's a night and day difference.

I grew up on Gambino's. Growing up over on the Westbank we lived near a location. I have memories of go there regularly to pick up items for my Dad, one of his number on things he had to have was Florentines. I can still smell their rich browned sugar smell. I loved visiting the store the whoff of sugar smell as you went through the door. As i got older I bought a particular pair of Mardi Gras beads at the store. These beads have some HUGE large pearls beads which I gave to my Dad to remark on the size of his balls. They sit at the base of my tiny Mardi Gras tree to this day. Then their's the Doberge... of my... what a love affair. My cousin had a girlfriend who was not from here. She kept hearing about this cake but was confused by the name. I pop into town for my birthday proudly announcing I have DOBERGE...which she is now convinced is called "Dope A$$" I know I have a picture with me with a half lemon and chocolate. I'll add it when I find it. Sho ut out to Devin Snow like Jon for the T-shirt knowledge. I look forward to my king cake coming and sharing it with people who know nothing about it. As you can see you can't go wrong with a long standing local business like Gambino's for all your sweet tooth needs from the simple to the spectacular.
