G & D Steakhouse

1st ate there back around 1988 and loved it. Was back in Columbia for a business trip in 2023 & 2024 and went there with several friends from St Louis and everybody loved the place. Clean, great service and good food. Most of us had steaks and baked potatos AND they were great. One person had a burger and fries and thought that was yummy also.

This place is a local favorite. The food is amazing and the service is always great. You can feel the family atmosphere.

This is a family owned steakhouse that is 2nd to none! We are full-time travellers and have visited many steak places in 40 states in 4 years. This one is surely one of the best. Friendly faces as soon as we walked in. The 8 oz special sirloin cooked to perfection! Thank you for a superb meal, we will come again.

G&D is a solid diner. What I would say about them is that they exceed expectation for the price, making them an excellent value in my book. I do the fried mushroom appetizer, a salad, burger and fries. They have a mean Philly cheesesteak as well. You will probably also crave their chicken strips again if you try them. The staff is friendly. I plan on giving their steak another try. I had a bite of my wife's steak and it wasn't bad, but I didn't regret not ordering it either. But I'd like to try one that is cooked medium rare before I give a real opinion.
