Create your own luck by making your very own Blarney Stone! Dive deep into the legend of Blarney Castle with us and take home your own lucky stone. Craft is a $5 add-on to regular admission for the day. Craft includes a rock of your choice, paint, eyes, and lips as well as an informational print out to share the Blarney Castle legend with your kids. The Blarney Stone is built into the battlements of Blarney Castle in the Irish village of Blarney. Legend has it that whoever kisses the stone receives the gift of persuasive eloquence, or blarney. No one knows the origin of the stone’s magical powers, but one legend claims that an old woman cast a spell on it to reward the king who saved her from drowning. In this activity, you can celebrate Irish history and culture by making your own miniature version of the Blarney Stone! Use it as a paperweight to help keep office clutter in order or give it away as a special St. Patrick's Day gift.
