I went to the job fair and took a tour of the facility. I had an interview for a job and I was offered a position with the company the next day. I am excited about getting this opportunity and I live within walking distance. I've loved their products for many years and have friends that work there. Now I will be part of the crew making those products.
Franz is "outstanding" the outlet store is the best as is the products they sale. I met one of their drivers and he was very nice and liked his job. Must be doing it right franz.keep up the good work.
Delivery of Cream goes in the Main Entrance that is marked Receiving! Do not enter the other ways!
No bathroom facilities, bring a jug.
Nothing near the Cream Tanks, it's about 3/4 mile to the nearest Porta Whizzer on the far side of the Box Trailer loading bays.
Tanker area is uncovered and cramped...not to mention bloody dangerous during icy conditions. They're still in the 1950's on that. Two taker inlets that you have to be VERY CAREFUL backing into. G.O.A.L. is required. OSHA would loose their minds if they ever thought to check up on this part of the plant.
Update, changing review from 1 to 4 stars. I was called by a representative from Franz. They seem to be taking the issue serious, and have a well thought out process for dealing with complaints with drivers.
Original Review:
Below is a message I sent Franz since I was unable to reach someone by phone. I'll update my review based on how, and if, they respond.
Hello,
I'm writing to complain about a dangerous and rude driver that I encountered this morning. The driver passed a vehicle parked in the road forcing me to move my bicycle off the road. At first I thought he somehow missed my bright red bike jacket and light. I raised both my arms in a "can't you see me" action. He choose to wave and laugh at this point.
The road wasn't busy, and the driver would have had to wait no more than 20 seconds. I have a CDL, I understand trying to meet a schedule. But this wasn't that. This was a complete disregard for those around him, and just plain rude. This is a designated bicycle route that kids, including my own, use every day. That interaction was completely unacceptable, and unsafe.
The interaction took place today at 8:18 am at 180 E. 33rd Street in Eugene. I can further describe the individual if you choose to follow up on this event. I'll include my phone number below. I have picture of the location and the vehicle the driver choose to pass.
This company does not treat temps very well at all. Basically firing my boyfriend because he had needed a specific day off because we bought concert tickets months in advance and before my boyfriend even became a temp we told them he will not be able to show up that day and proceeded to not listen to him and schedule him on the same day of the concert. Absolutely horrible place and horrible people.
