We have been loyal customers to Frank's Pizza as we think they have the best pizza in town. However, our last 2 recent experiences have not been pleasant. Over the holidays, we ordered several pies about 40 minutes from closing. Upon arrival, as we waited for our pizza, a worker was on the phone. When she saw my brother arrive, she said a few choice words in Spanish because it was near closing time. The funny thing is we speak Spanish, and when we asked who she was commenting on (no one else in the store), the manager said it was not directed at us and that she was on the phone. Now fast forward to this past week. We entered for dinner, and our waitress was nice and attentive at first. My husband asked for broccoli and cavatelli. She asked my husband what kind of pasta he wanted. We were a.bit confused and reminded her that cavatelli is the pasta...again an easy mistake on her behalf. We weren't shaken up by it at all. She asked what kind of bread we wanted, and we both responded to garlic. She returned 2 times there after to ask what kind of bread we wanted. We were still not bothered or upset by these minor things... Then our food arrives. I asked for lasagna, and the picture you see is what I got. When she first asked if everything was OK, we said everything was fine as I was just hungry and figured maybe the flavor would have me look over my pile of mush (not lasgna) ... I took several bites, and it was not good at all. Mostly cheese and whatever meat they used was not good. When she returned to check on us, I kindly said. "To be honest, this is not a lasagna and what it should look like or taste." Her response was not apologetic at all but instead said well I don't know, I've never had it. " She made no attempt to fix the situation or offer another meal. I understand I'm not dining at a 5 star establishment, but most people know what lasagna is and what it should look and taste like. Not a pile cheese, sauce, and mush. Then, from there forth, she was just rude and slapped the check on the table and threw the pen on the table. I dont need to make a scene, so I paid and off I went. With no desire to ever return. Hire better trained staff Frank's!
I’ve lived in the area all my life and Franks is an institution. Back in 2000 when I’d go to a movie, we’d follow up with some slices at Franks! Always amazing variety and delicious food. Now, my family and I all have different preferences so we really love to get a couple different personal pizzas. We usually go with a buffalo chicken, tortellini, and a penne vodka. They NEVER disappoint. We’re big calzone fans and they recently added a large calzone option to their menu…OMG. It is the biggest, most delicious calzone in the area by far. The picture doesn’t do it justice! If you’re on the fence and not sure where to order from/eat…GO HERE!!!
Cheese Steaks are good. My husband likes the Italian hot dogs
Just a short review to point out a problem with what has become our go-to trattoria. , My wife and I ordered four slices of Grandma's pizza which normally are spicey, unfortunately, on this trip they were very bland. Please remember to add some spice to Grandma's she would be grateful.
Took my daughter and her friends here after their dance recital and it was good! Staff was friendly and the pizza was fresh and perfect
We had our field hockey team pizza party. The set up was great. They had pizza out quickly. There was no issue with bringing our own dessert (cupcake cake). They make this event super easy for me as the coach!
