Heather Hardcastle eliminated gluten from her diet nearly 20 years ago to help ease chronic digestive issues. When she found it difficult to purchase the sweet treats she craved, she decided to make them herself! She later went on to study baking & pastry arts at The Culinary Institute of America and through much trial and error, she mastered the art of creating gluten-free recipes that had incredible taste, quality and texture. Heather started Flour Craft Bakery in 2010, working and together with her husband & business partner, Rick Perko, they opened Flour Craft’s first retail location in San Anselmo in in 2013. MiIl Valley Lumber Yard is Flour Craft's second location, opened in 2018.
