One of the worst brunches. I could have made a better one at home. 11 pound French toast had one uncooked brioche toast that was just overpowered with cream and sauces. Really disappointed. The cake was definitely a day old and not fresh at all. It was such a beautiful day so we were really excited about a nice brunch but alas :( would not recommend
The £10 toastie wasn't bad.. Making my eighty year old Mother in law stand outside in the freezing rain while we waited for a table meant that we won't be returning in a hurry though!
Brunch (especially toasties) is delicious, cakes are average (very average!) and the service is… well, disappointingly bad, killing any inch of good vibe. Feels like staff are doing you a favor serving you, they are incredibly unhelpful and muted - it feels like they don’t want you to come in (welcome sign actually says ‘if there’s no room inside wait outside, he have no room for you here’ ) - outch, got that, I feel that. I wonder if staff like working there; they all seem miserable and unhappy. If I was the manager I’d be taking a hard look at this red flag review. Oh, taking kids there is even more enraging, as you feel the lack of empathy from miles away. Sad. I wonder who they want to cater for… I don’t write this review lightly. I’ve been there countless times and it’s the same thing EVERY TIME. I finally had enough of it.
Cosy vibe with a pleasant atmosphere, good service and great food & drinks.
Recently visited this charming cafe in Cambridge with lovely staff. The soup was not just good, but absolutely delicious. The Moka with oat milk pleasantly exceeded my expectations. While the prices seemed reasonable, the mandatory 10% tip felt a bit odd. It's worth noting for those considering a visit. Overall, a nice cafe with great offerings, but the tipping policy might catch you by surprise. Visited in December 2023
