I’ve had the k-style tteokbokki a lot of times but this recent one that was cooked by a girl worker I haven’t seen before cooked it horrible, It didn’t taste the same every time I get it, It was sour and It wasn’t so delicious. So disgusting I had to spit it out.
Ordered the Rosé Tteokbokki. It was really good. You can tell the rice cakes are fresh, the texture is so much softer than some dried or frozen, store-bought instant tteok. It took a few minutes for them to prepare it, but it was well worth the wait for having such good fresh flavors. Pro tip: eat it with a Milk Tea from redstraw around the corner, perfect combo of spicy + milky.
This is my kid's one of favorite places he likes so we often get sandwiches from the place. But recent visit wasn't so pleasant. The wait was so long. The cashier took our order and went to the back, prepared the sandwiched himself, I may be wrong but he never came back to the front- whatever the reason was. Anyhow, the sandwiches were sooooo small. It was noticeably smaller than before. Maybe the place is under a different ownership/management. Never going back again, totally not worth $9 sandwich.
The sandwiches, drinks, ice cream, and rice cake are all so good!!!!!!!!!!!!
