In 1999 Billy Rowell, a commercial fisherman needed a place to sell his catch and Ridgeland, South Carolina needed a place to purchase fresh local seafood. Billy and his wife Donna decided to open both a fresh seafood market and Fiddler’s Seafood Restaurant. Billy focused on the market and Donna dove into the restaurant- building both from scratch to the iconic destination it is today. Lynden and Sally Zuniga took over Fiddlers Seafood Restaurant and Fiddlers Seafood Market in January of 2023. With Chef Lynden having extensive seafood experience, he was up for the challenge to maintain what makes Fiddlers a staple in the Lowcountry.
