Went with a large party and they did a great job taking care of everything. Food was very good. Everyone was very satisfied.
Service was cheerful, if not organized. Food came out cold and was very bland. The meat in the taco I had (which was a BIG taco) was very dry and had almost no flavor). The cheese enchilada was cheesy (but almost cold in the middle) and smothered with the blandest chili and beans I've ever had. The "pork tamale" was huge, but very dry and the pork had little falvor. It was incredibly noisy and the background recorded Mexican music just made it louder. It was clean, the drinks were quite good. This was our 2nd try, not going again.
Go early or you'll miss it. Food was okay, but could be better if the seasoned the meat. Margaritas were good. Salsa was pretty mild/bland imo. Service was excellent.
It's too bad they don't actually offer what's on their menu. They literally would not let me order the combo of enchiladas I wanted. Just wouldn't do it. We decided to leave. Not getting my money running a place like that. Your menu should reflect what you offer. No attempt was made to make it right after the issue was pointed out. The server was ZERO help as well. My Dr. Pepper was tasty. On to On The Border!
I'm trying to keep this nicer with an explanation about our visit. We've shied away because the food wasn't as good previously. So, we tried again after about a year. Sundays visit had us waiting over 25 minutes for our order to arrive. Our server had a large party she was dealing with, so she never came back to check on the quality of our meal. I ordered 2 ground beef/chorizo enchiladas with a cream sauce. The sauce was too salty to eat, and only we I flagged down another server to pay our bill did they hear it from me. I will say that the manager was super kind when he heard and removed it from our bill. My wife's taco salad was delicious, she said. We won't be back after 2 disappointments.
A pleasant Valentine's Day supper. Friendly and quick service, good food...and half-price margaritas.
