Fat Hippo Cardiff

Firstly let me say this the staff were lovely, very friendly and quick too couldnt fault them! The atmosphere for a saturday was kind of quiet and the lighting in there is so dark and the seating is cramped I'm a tall guy and my chair was pressed into someone elses when half the place was empty. My wife had the vegan burger and i had a normal burger not much to say about them tbh we both thought it lacked flavour was pretty disappointing. We both enjoyed the chips though. Prices are reasonable somewhere in that five guys price range for a sit down meal is pretty good. Overall would i recommend as a burger spot probably not but they have good vegan options so if thats floats your boat you might enjoy it.

Flissy was a great host!

I was really excited to give it a try, but sadly it was a disappointment. Service was okay, the burgers took a little while despite it being early afternoon hours and the place was not busy. The chicken burger was so dry, had barely any coleslaw or sauce in it, vegan chicken itself tasted like an oxo cube. Lettuce in my burger wasn’t fresh either.
