Fat Franks

Meh. Ive had WAY better. Definitely not running back to get more. I got the italian sausage and my husband got jumbo frank. Both were mediocre at best and the jumbo frank was far from jumbo.

The food is good.. but it’s a large menu and overpriced. The employee there didn’t speak a lick of English and had the thickest accent so it was impossible to ask any questions or confirm that it was understood what we DID order. 4 stars for the food. 0 stars for the price ($10 for a single dog minimum) and 3 stars for the employee because she was very nice, I just couldn’t understand a single thing.

The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly. Whenever we order food, it comes quickly. They have a few tables with chairs & bench/booth seating. They also have a booster seat and highchair for use, if you need them. There is ample parking in the lot surrounding the building. They have a washroom onsite. They have a large selection of help-yourself toppings and sauces. You can order to stay or take it to go. They have daily specials for a discounted price OR an extensive menu to choose from. They also have a kids meal for the littles. It's a great spot to enjoy something quick & different for lunch.

I used to love Fat Franks! Since the new owners took over, the portion sizes have gone down drastically. The chili tastes like stuff from a can, sautéed mushrooms are mushrooms from a can and lightly heated. With poutines you used to definitely get your bang for your buck but now they are tiny with hardly any toppings and price went up. When it costs $55 for 2 adults and 1 kid to have hot dogs, it's time to find a new spot!

The chicken strips were tiny. The aervice was not good

Experience was not good. Dine in was closed but they didn't know why. I never did get an answer to "What are Cheese Fries?" The trainee did not understand or speak English very well. Just ordered poutine out of frustration, $8.99 for a hamburger container size. Some of the fries were not cooked. Expensive and I won't be going back there!

Ordered dog and fries. Dog was luke warm and the fries were all tiny end pieces was not impressed at all. Way over priced for the 4.99 fries that were no bigger than a dime. UPDATE was asked to email them I did and no reply for over 2 weeks so don't be surprised if you make a negative comment they will ask you to email them and nothing.
