The food was pretty good. We had the steak and it was well cooked. The sides were not very good. Mediocre. The service was a little below average, but absolutely support the practice. The manager was very attentive. The chocolate choux was excellent. Highly recommend! The live music was pretty good.
Absolutely amazing! From the host to the bartender to the chef, it was all amazing. While I admired the mission of Edwin’s and Edwin’s too, this was first opportunity to experience this place myself. My husband I were so impressed at how wonderful everyone was, so extremely attentive and engaging. We will be back. We had the the Spanish Octopus appetizer it was beyond flavorful, also tender and perfectly cooked which can be hard with octopus. Hubby and I shared the Tomahawk steak and we did not regret this choice. Every piece we had was perfectly seasoned and cooked. My husband even picked up the bone (to gnaw on). The cocktails were pretty darn good too. Good place, great people, impressive food. Found our new favorite place! Cannot wait to go back!!
We fully support EDWINS' mission, we moved here a year ago, we had dined at EDWINS French restaurants 3 times including a special event, we had great experiences. This was our 1st time trying brunch at EDWINS TOO. We are very sad to have to write this review, for shockingly bad experience with food and service. 1) We ordered the "Top Shelf Coffee", it was served at room temperature. Bloody Mary tasted like tomato juice. 2) We waited 1 hr for our food, the head server did come to apologize for the delay saying that the chef just got here, 1 hour after they opened. Three out of four dishes were big disappointments. It is not average but it's way below standard, not what I expect from EDWINS and for what they are charging. a) The Croque Madame, a classic French dish, was delivered as dried two pieces white thick toast, not seared, no color, tiny bit of cheese and not melted. When questioned, the expeditor lady in the kitchen insisted that's how Croque Madame is. We ate food around the world, we know what a Croque Madame should be. I am sad to see that is how they trained their trainees to make a Croque Madame. The dish was returned, they told us they will re-fire but it will still be the same. They never brought a new dish back, so we cancelled that dish, however it still showed on our check, we had to once again told them what happened, then they took that dish off. b) Eggs Benedict with cured salmon, which they charged extra $5 for the salmon, so it was a $22 Eggs Benedict. The salmon looks pale, and it taste like it has turned. We didn't want to return another dish, so our friend just ate one egg, that's it. c) Chicken and Waffle - the waffle was soft and pale, not cooked enough, piled with soggy chopped up vinegary things (thought it was onions, but was later told it was apple.) Chicken wings had no seasoning and dried. Barely ate any. d) 4th dish was Shrimp & Grits, that was decent. I was sitting at the table where I can see the open kitchen, I was sure then it was the kitchen expeditor lady's issue. Unfortunately, we didn't take any pictures because we were just too shocked reacting to the food and the attitude. After we signed our check, Chef Chrostowski came by our table and asked how's the meal. We gave our honest feedback, all he said was "Sorry about the Croque Madame, oh the salmon is not right? I will go to kitchen to taste it. Oh, the waffle is soggy?" That's all, no sincere acceptance of feedbacks from customers. We were shocked!
