ECHO St. Simons

Went to echo for breakfast with my family of 5 as we were staying at the king and prince and i was incredibly underwhelmed, especially for it being located in a highly rated resort. Our waitress didn’t greet us and was pretty much just like “what do you want.” We all ordered pretty quick, but she made it feel like we needed to order even faster (we were one of two tables occupied in the whole restaurant so there was absolutely no rush). I asked for an Irish coffee, which is a rather common request, and the waitress just looked at me and said…we don’t carry fancy coffee from Ireland. She was gone so fast that I couldn’t explain to her i just wanted whiskey in my coffee. The other table in the restaraunt was a single older lady dining by herself. She was ready to pay when we sat down, and i watched her waiting patiently for the waitress to come over to run her credit card for about 30 minutes, she finally gets up, walks over to the kitchen area looking for help, and a waitress i had never seen stepped out from the back and was rude and pretty much told her the waitress will be with her in a second. I felt so bad for the elderly lady. The food was mediocre, but you can’t really mess up a lox bagel.

I got the Cobb Salad with cran-raspberry vinaigrette. Deeeeee-licious. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was outstanding. Everyone was kind. Staff members greeted us when walking by. It felt like a very hospitable environment. Highly recommend. Kid-friendliness: My 10 years old daughter was with us. She enjoyed her food and the scenery. I saw other kids her age in the establishment as well.

Wonderful place for lunch and Ocean view. Our server Ben was outstanding.

The shrimp tacos were so good! I highly recommend. Also ordered the Chicken Alfredo and would also recommend. The kids had the Mac and Cheese. Wasn’t able to enjoy the waterfront view, but the service and atmosphere were top notch. Would definitely go back for more.

Vegetarian options: Salads are great! Dietary restrictions: I see many options on the menus. Parking: If there is a wedding or big event, it can become somewhat difficult, but most of the times it’s easy. Kid-friendliness: During season, guests kids have activities. Wheelchair accessibility: The Security person walked an elderly woman all the way into the restaurant.

Came across Echo while visiting St Simon's and wow this place has incredible food, drinks and service! Top notch all around! Will definitely visit again!

Javier is always amazing and the food/wine selection is excellent. We will definitely be back soon!

Sadly, this restaurant did not live up to expectations. The service was poor, my order was incomplete and not cooked as I desired. I did not receive all of my food, the waiter just disappeared for an extended period and I did not receive a glass of wine I ordered to go with my meal. I was there for the New Years weekend and ate on December 29th. I believe their staff was overwhelmed by the numbers of guests. I do not recommend.
