Bubble Waffles & Ice Cream Serving modern but authentic Hong Kong style bubble waffles (egg puffs) with ice cream. We are the first DIY bubble waffle “Specialty Store” to serve bubble waffles with ice cream in Hawaii. We make our waffles/batter from scratch every day. We do not use instant mochi waffles/batter mix like many others do. While the owner was studying dessert making in Tokyo, he came across Hong Kong waffles and immediately fell in love. He then went to Hong Kong to learn the traditional way of making Gai Dan Zai (Hong Kong waffles). After spending 2 years in Hong Kong, he decided to open a shop in Hawaii, where he grew up.
