Loved the food and Katia, the manager, was a wonderful host.
They charge $4 for chips and salsa. This is counter to the culture in this country if you are ordering other food. These people should be shut down for being greedy. Additionally there menu is really limited compared to normal mexican restaurants. I won't be coming here again.
Waited at the host stand and was ignored by every single staff member who walked by. Not even busy for dinner service. They all saw us but no acknowledgment of any kind. We really want to try this place and will be back in the future in case this was an off night.
the food was really good & that’s coming from a picky eater! the service was great, no complaints whatsoever. most def recommend.
Decent Mexican food, no great no bad.
I ordered the Mahi fish tacos. It looked like a piece of frozen fish, which was cold and hard. It was not edible! The service was mediocre due to us having a large party and not having staff to accommodate. The atmosphere was beautiful inside woth plenty of space for large parties
This use to be Old El Paso. Menu has changed and prices are up! But I highly recommend the 10 box of the street tacos. Chicken and ground beef split. Great beans and rice. But now on to go orders you have to buy the chips and salsa extra!
Our experience at Don Luis left much to be desired. Despite a slow start, waiting 45 minutes for our food even when the restaurant wasn't busy, we remained patient. However, the problems persisted. Our vegetarian friend's request for veggie fajitas resulted in a plate of only onions and green peppers, which was promptly returned uneaten. When our meals finally arrived, our steak fajitas were unexpectedly mixed with sausage, a departure from traditional Mexican cuisine that wasn't communicated to us beforehand. This lack of transparency about menu changes is frustrating and disappointing. To add insult to injury, we were charged exorbitantly for extras like sour cream, and the bill reflected prices akin to a high-end establishment, despite the subpar experience. Our vegetarian friend left hungry, unable to enjoy a satisfactory meal. In summary, the service was slow, the food was not as described, and the pricing was unjustified. Regrettably, I cannot recommend Don Luis based on this experience.
