No frills to go dim sum and a la carte options. BBQ pork buns both baked and steamed were on point and delicious, especially the baked ones. Tried BBQ pork filled pastry dough, interesting and reminded me of a British pasty. Fried taro dumpling was ok w savory ground pork filling. Har gow and siu mai were just ok, wrapper on har gow was too thick and filling a bit gummy, wrapper likely overcooked from sitting in constant stream and siu mai had an overpowering porky meat smell.
My wife and I have been coming here for years. If you get here early enough, there is a wide selection of Dim Sum, but they do sell out quickly. Their daily special IA alway good, inexpensive with an ample portion Pros; recipes are consistent and carried over from the original owners as they were bought out by family members when they retired Cons; some of the items are being modified to keep their costs down. Like the Shui Mai having a significant amount of rice added. I personally would prefer the price raised rather than cost cutting.
Best dim sum in Sac, and the best priced as well!! Breakfast for two for $11?? Sac's best kept secret
Dim sum served here is consistently wonderful!
I use to love this place. Now the kids of the old owners suck..
Always my favorite go to for Asian comfort food . I’ve been going here for 20 years . Delish and consistent.
Got one of the taro dumpling and pork dumpling. Very crispy and good. Got the har gow and it was softer than I like. Still good.
This place is a hole in the wall, they have seven or eight dumplings and a daily special main dish. Each dumpling is no more than a dollar and it's real authentic Chinese food and because it's the places is no frills it allows them to keep their prices low. I was pleasantly surprised by the great prices and the great tasting food. Open every day but Monday from 9 to 3:00 you won't be sorry Parking: There's a boarded-up subways right next door so there's all kinds of parking there
