Diddy Riese

I've been a big fan of Diddy Riese since being a student at UCLA and was so excited to be able to place a catering order of cookies for the dessert at my wedding in May 2024! It was such a fun touch that my fellow Bruins and other LA locals were excited about. Always love the cookies, ice cream sandwiches, and shaved ice but for our wedding, we got the candy chocolate chip, chocolate chip, double chocolate, white chocolate, and cinnamon sugar cookies and they were all a hit!

Low prices, delicious menu choices. I recommend the shaved ice over a scoop of vanilla ice! cream

Average cookies + average ice cream = average icecream sandwich. Yes it’s cheap, but don’t understand the hype. wish they could warm the cookies like insomnia cookie nearby.

Sadly, I think I might be done with Diddy Reese. Been a routine stop in Westwood for us for 25 years, but the prices are no longer a bargain, and they make me question the quality too. Went there on a Saturday afternoon, and rather than the normal bustling handful of workers, there were two people slowly filling orders. I get it, the minimum wage laws are killing businesses like this, but as a customer I have to vote with my feet when the value no longer matches the cost.

Make your own ice cream sandwiches. Such a simple idea, but always enjoyable.

Great ice cream, cookies and ice cream sandwiches. A staple of Westwood for sure. Just know they only take debit/credit cards for purchases $5 or more.
