Dickey's Barbecue Pit

I’ve been wanting to try this place for awhile. I wish I had gone somewhere else. I had a 2-meat plate with chicken and brisket. The meat was lukewarm at best, dry, and overcooked. I’ve had real Texas BBQ on many occasions and this is not it, at least not what they served me. The best part of the meal was the fried okra. It was hot and fresh and tasted pretty good. I will say that the portions were large and initially it seemed like a good deal. But honestly, how much dry meat can you eat?

3/29 So I put an order in online and go to pick it up on my way home, I get to the drive up window and sit there for almost five minutes as three different employees walked by with out assisting. Finally one lady comes to the window and says what do you need! not can I help you nothing very rude. I told her I placed a online order and was here to pick it up. She said well your going to have a problem then because our manager screwed us and we are out of food we are going to close. So a 50. order and we have yet to be refunded. Don't waste your time or money!

The store in Spokane valley is the location this review is about. Truly disgusting food. I was served the most vile heap of fat I’ve ever seen passed as pulled pork on my visit on Sunday. There was only one employee there who informed us it was his first day on the job. This poor guy had to call his boss to figure out how to ring up some rolls. When I order the pulled pork he asked me if I wanted it sliced or mashed. As a fan of pulled pork I can confidently say I’ve never been asked that when ordering, pulled pork is.. well, pulled. This is all to say dude had no idea what he was doing, honestly I felt terrible for him. When he brought us our order and rolls we found that the rolls were rock hard, stale as can be, we could barely cut into them. The ‘’mashed” pork was cold, and while I couldn’t see due to the sauce, when I had my first bite I got nothing but fat. It happens with bbq so I dig in a little and find more and more blobs of fat. Cold hunks of mashed pork fat. we got a refund for the awful rolls and paid for the half pound of pork trimmings, mostly out of pity for that poor worker. It’s a real shame, the CDA location serves tasty, hot bbq and I’ve considered myself a fan for years. I’m terrified to try another location after this, truly disgusting.

Very disappointed. My first pulled up to the drive-thru and sat there for probably 5 minutes or more, with no I then proceeded to go into the building just be told that the drive-thru was closed even though it's advertised as being open 24/7. The pork on my sandwich tasted like it was either microwaved or boiled. And it was cold by the time I got it. The mac and cheese was nothing special, it was cold, pretty bland in flavor. At this point they would probably just do better to close the business down.

This place has really declined. My family and I visited on April 4th, 2024, around 1 pm. There were only two workers, with one actually working while the other seemed lost. We had to repeat our order multiple times before they got it right. The lack of customers during lunchtime should have been a warning sign. Firstly, they didn't wash their hands and used their phone with gloves on while handling the food. The food arrived cold, especially worrying for meat products, and there was no ice available for the drinks. The food tasted old and microwave-prepared. Their hygiene and safety practices with their employees need serious improvement, as this was absolutely disgusting. We won't be returning.

Walked in and just had all 4 employees stare and not speak at all, they didn’t let us know where to order and made us feel uncomfortable but there food is okay would suggest ordering online .

Horrible Horrible Horrible delivery and food service. Me and my family have placed several large expensive orders and every time it's messed up, main meat is wrong. Ordered boneless wings. Got bone in every single one. Always two sides missing. Sauce never added to wings. Pathetic amount of veggies not even a full little cup of veggies for the wings. Another time was missing 3 sides and never even got refunded. they are literally thieves. They have no appreciation for their customers. I'd give zero stars except that isn't possible.

I don't usually write reviews but my lunch was terrible, brisket so hard you could barely cut it and the bbq beans were burnt giving them a horrible flavor and smell.

Horrible & not worth the money I spent AT ALL - I ordered a Chopped Brisket Baked Potato Casserole from "Big Bob's Bakers" (aka, Dickey's BBQ) and got a tiny pile of meat with an even smaller cup of plain mashed potatoes. I also ordered a Dr. Pepper that I had to immediately dump down the drain. Come on people, CHANGE YOUR SYRUPS!! It was essentially just carbonated water accompanied by the odd taste of soap in my cup to top it all off (not really sure how the soap thing happened, but y'all should be more careful because that can make people sick). Dickey's used to be good but this? What a joke. I wish I would've looked at the other most recent reviews before ordering. (And I've never left reviews anywhere but after seeing all of the recent negative reviews, I needed to share my own experience as well so others will know what to expect. The amount of 1 star reviews here is CRAZY - also I have a photo but can't figure out how to upload it)

This will have to be all 1s because I don't actually know what the food is like. the service is pretty much total garbage. They canceled my order about 35 minutes later. So... Yeah. Poor girl on the phone sounded absolutely put upon.
