Del Rancho

The idea for the Del Rancho Steak Sandwich Supreme® began in 1961. Our founder, J.R. Holt, heard that to be successful in the restaurant business you need at least one unique item on your menu, which only your restaurant offers. Two years after opening his first restaurant, Mr. Holt had a vision for a variant of a hamburger. It would be a sandwich, a steak sandwich. A sandwich like no one else had ever seen. That day began a long experimental process that lasted three years. Finally, in 1964, it was complete, and Mr. Holt introduced his “masterpiece” menu item. Del Rancho has been serving its unique and delicious menu items ever since!
