Danny's Bar & Grill

It feels dirty. They never made eye contact with me, and nobody who worked there spoke to me at all. When I said, “excuse me”, I was entirely ignored. Wow! Is there a zero stars rating available? What a dive!

I've known Danny for years and he's a good guy and when this place first opened it was great but I don't know how there still open. There closed on days when it says there open and the people just do not care about this place at all. There rude as they can be and when you make a call in order they hang up on you or they take your order and when you have waited to go get it they tell you they don't have your order. Danny you should start over with new employees, they're costing you a good thing.i was told one price over the phone and it was different when I picked it up. To who ever answers the phone here's a piece of advice you shouldn't hang up on people and cuss at them maybe just go back to McDonald's your bringing a good place down

Anyone leaving a 5 star review for this place is either friends or family of the owners or staff...or has no clue what really good food is. It is pretty much what I expected...your basic local diner. No frills. Don't come here with your pinky extended expecting high-end dining or even anything remarkable as far as food choices, style of plating, etc.. You get disposable plates for your sandwich and disposable cups for your draft beer. At 1:30 on a Saturday they were not very busy, but a steady stream of what appeared to be local patrons and families. Bring cash, they charge you for what the credit card companies charge them...I guess...I saw the sign but paid cash myself. Some places just resent the credit card charges rather than just raise their prices 5%. Whatever...in a world where few people carry cash these days, they wont survive in the end. I like using cash, but the new world we are in is digital. I had the cheese-steak sub. It was good, not outstanding but nothing to complain about, except maybe a bit on the small side. It took the length of one draft beer to come to my table, so I can see the food service being a bit slow when they are busy. I think it was just one guy (maybe Danny?) doing all the cooking on a griddle right behind the bar, old school style. I give it 3 of 5 stars because it is what it is. Basic diner food. Prices are fair. Come here expecting no more than that and you'll probably be happy. The bathroom was reasonably clean as well. I have zero reason to come back though. There is only one decent restaurant around Lake Monticello and it's Mexican...within walking distance of this place. ALL of the rest, including over at Turkey Sag are just mediocre.

In todays economy its too expensive to eat out. But at least when we do go tp dannys the food is good and prices are very reasonable. We love it!!!

Food was good, atmosphere was kinda dark and dingy with sticky floors and table. We found ourselves asking where the waiter was numerous times

The burger was delicious! We visited around 5:30 on a Friday evening. The air conditioner was on so cold it was crazy. We literally had to eat outside, it was so cold inside. It took over 45 minutes to even get our drinks and an hour and 10 to get our food. I went to the bar area to ask about our food after 1 hour, and the owner actually said to me, "ohhh, I doubt it's been an hour" Had I not had a guest with me, I would have left right then. Disappointing service.
