Date of Visit: March 09, 2024 My experience at the restaurant's lunch buffet on March 9th was disappointing. The options were severely limited, with only one vegetarian and one non-vegetarian starter available. The restaurant was overcrowded, and the food supply was inadequate. Most food containers were empty, and it took an unacceptable 30 to 40 minutes to refill them. The lack of crowd management was evident, and the absence of alternative food options added to the frustration. The setup of the buffet area was poorly designed, with inadequate space for diners to move around comfortably. It seemed like a deliberate strategy to control the movement of patrons. Overall, the restaurant's approach to food options and management seemed geared more towards profit than customer satisfaction. The absence of any apology for the poor experience was particularly disappointing. Additionally, the inclusion of a 13% gratuity charge felt unwarranted given the subpar service. In summary, the combination of limited food options, poor management, and lack of accountability left me thoroughly dissatisfied with my dining experience at the restaurant.
The food is good sometimes, and its stale sometimes (specially the buffet). The service is always slow since they hardly have 1 or 2 people on weekdays. Absolutely fine on weekends. Make sure you go around 12 pm for lunch buffet. We have gone at 12:45 multiple times and some of the things in the buffet are missing/over and they dont bother to refill it. They wud just apologize saying sorry we dont have it anymore and since the buffet ends at 1 pm, they wont even prepare or refill it after 12:30 but just give u excuses!!
Ordered Kadai Panner. But Vegetarian food was very salty and have taste like egg plant.
I recently dined at 'Daal Roti.' The ambiance was okay, and the food exceeded expectations, but the service was subpar. The lone staff member was handling numerous tasks—welcoming guests, managing the buffet, setting up tables, and bringing the roti basket. During peak hours, it was surprising to see only one person in the main area and a couple in the kitchen. The buffet often had empty trays, with curries lacking essential ingredients. For instance, paneer lababdar lacked paneer, chicken tikka had no chicken, dal fry was without dal, and palak was without paneer. Despite these shortcomings, the taste of the food was better than the service, showcasing the potential of the restaurant. It seems like the establishment could benefit from addressing staffing and inventory issues to provide a more consistent and enjoyable dining experience. The owner went on saving a lot of cost by cutting the employees it seems.
