An Eastie favorite, Cunard Tavern draws its inspiration from the rich nautical history of East Boston's Shipyard and the those whose search of the American Dream began when they landed there. Featuring: James Beard award-winning chef Tony Messina at the helm, a vibrant late night bar scene, rooftop tropical patio "The Layover" with city skyline views, deep whiskey reserves, and constant rotation of coveted craft beers. Filippo and Philip Frattaroli of Filmark Hospitality Group (behind North End restaurants Lucia Ristorant, Ducali Bar & Caffe, and Filippo Ristorante) opened Cunard Tavern in 2017 on the Jeffries Point site of Filippo’s father’s cabinet-making business.
