Crab Trap Destin

The smoked tuna dip caused our group to throw up and have some bad sickness. The atmosphere was ok and the service was slow. Not a great experience overall.

Loved this place. Service was fast, food was good and your literally sitting on a beautiful beach. Kid friendly so much so that they even give the kids a bucket and shovel to play in the sand or on the playground that is conveniently located in front of your sitting. I highly recommend ans we will return. Parking: Parking was easy and convenient. Right on the beach. Kid-friendliness: Playground in front of tables so kids can play on it while you eating and it's on the beach.

Paying for the views here. Food and service are not terrible but do not match the price. Great location though. Just FYI closing time actually means an hour earlier. Do not expect any prompt service past 8pm. All the servers are busy cleaning an hour early so they can walk out the door at closing time to get to their local watering hole or wherever they need to be. In my opinion if you are open until 9pm you should have full service until then and clean up after hours.

Our family decided that we would do dinner at one of our favorite seafood restaurants in Destin while we were on vacation. On Friday the 23 of February we got seated very quickly and our waitress was wonderful. We placed our orders blackened mahi mahi sea scallops and lobster tail another blackened mahi mahi but that one had a lobster tail added steamed shrimp plate crab legs and I forget the other two. The food came out rather quickly minus the steamed shrimp that we had to wait a good 10 to 15 more minutes for. Once we started eating the sea scallops were so overcooked that it was like chewing bubble gum the lobster tail was so overcooked you couldn't even pull it out of the shell and eat it the mahi mahi was hard overcooked and somehow cold at the same time. Now let me restate the fact that for decades we have been coming to the Crab Trap on our vacations and never had a problem. We brought up the issue to our waitress we were told that that would get taken off of our bill. My husband hands her the card and she runs the card. The next day we find out that she did not take off the food that we physically were unable to eat. And to make things worse they added another $100 tip on top of our already almost 600.00 bill. I can guarantee you this will be the last time that we ever stepped foot in the Crab Trap and as much as I hate to say it because my family grew up down there in Destin I will have to make a report with the Better Business Bureau.

Our daughter likes to play on the playground at the beach and we often pop in for lunch. On our last trip, we had Sarah as our server and she was outstanding!
