C.R. Gibbs American Grille

This place has a really great outdoor seating area; airy and well spaced out, in contrast to some other restaurants that see outdoor spaces as an excuse to pack 'em in. The food here was delicious. I ordered the ribeye, which came with fingerling potatoes and some impressively large asparagus, and they were all prepared just right. Service was very good too; I was unhappy with the old fashioned cocktail and they replaced it with another (the Paper Plane I got was much better).

I've been in Redding since 1972, have tried just about every eatery in town. This place NEVER lets you down! The food, the service, the atmosphere is all top notch! Keeps me coming back & you should too!

I ordered for pick up and take out, but will comment that the atmosphere had a great vibe. If I wasn't traveling with a pet, I would have enjoyed the bar service. My take out food was the Patty Melt with Cajun Fries. The burger was cooked medium well and was packed with juicy flavor. The fries were nicely seasoned and served with ranch as a dipping sauce. I only had service from the hostess which was very pleasant. I do look forward to a sit down experience at this awesome grille.

I had prime rib, in my opinion it is way over priced. Prime rib would be better if it was cooked with rosemary rub it bland and also the there mashed potatoes tasted like thry mix real mashed potatoes with dehydrated potatoes and are like a gluey substance.

The food was so delicious, I got the ancho chicken sandwich and it was so yummy. I definitely recommend this place.
