I’ve been a regular to the Odessa location since it opened but I stopped going this summer when my regular drink jumped from roughly $4 to $8 overnight. Yes, literally overnight. I get an iced coffee (a little over $3 plain) with 8 pumps of caramel and a splash of cream. When questioning it, I was told they had been charging incorrectly for the syrup before and this was correct. So I asked if they’re charging per pump now and was told no. Then I asked how it could go from 3 whatever to 7 whatever if they weren’t and was told “our caramels really expensive” but was given no other explanation. I gave up and left. I lost my brother this summer and didn’t feel like the fight. I was disappointed by a place I really enjoyed and supported. I’ve worked at several coffee shops and understand the average syrup pricing which this was well above. That’s not to mention the insanity of doubling a drink price overnight, even if you were “charging incorrectly” before.
