We ordered the hot milkshakes as they were something new to try. The barista started to make the first one, then for some reason threw it away, so we had to wait even longer. The place was not busy and in total their were 3 members of staff. The barista then added 'milkshake powder' to the drink. When I asked what it was, and what it was for, the individual said they were just told to add it! A senior member of staff was then asked. This person did not know what was in it, but did offer to check on a fact sheet. I was also informed that they think it makes the milk thicker, as when they tried it without it, the taste and texture wasn't the same. Not sure if their is any gluten issues with this, or allergy issues, so best to check or avoid it. I thought it odd to be adding something to someone's drink and having no idea what it was, but maybe that is just me? Back to the drinks themselves. We tried the white chocolate and chocolate hazelnut flavours. The white chocolate was very sweet, so if you like sweet drinks you will love it. For us it was a bit too sickly sweet. The chocolate drink tasted more of caramel than hazelnut, so I believe the barista put the wrong syrup in...
