Cold Beers & Cheeseburgers

Went for my birthday last night, its a new restaurant in our town, we're pretty west of everything and tbh this place has been packed to the rafters since it opened, probably because its the only pub in walking distance since the communities of verrado and sienna hills were built. Service was prompt and friendly and although you can't book a table, we were advised to come before 6pm to have the best chance of fitting in a table of 8. we were seated almost immediately, attended to swiftly and the wait staff were very friendly. the food choices are plentiful and we ordered pickle chips for the table and everyone ordered main course, the pickle chips were very spicy, despite no mention of this on the menu. You have to pay extra for fries with your burger which seems kinda stingey, especially as the burgers are $17 each. we ordered fries or tater tots each, and they were so salty they were inedible, the waitress did bring me a new portion without salt but not for anyone else. Apparently they are pre seasoned in the kitchen, despite putting salt shakers on the tables. Finally the place is loud, 2 of my party have PTS and found it to be too loud, everywhere you look is a giant TV and the volume is loud, so people are shouting to make themselves heard, its a din. I'd go again purely for the convenience but i'd probably eat at home first or defintely ask for no salt on my fries etc... it was ghastly. Parking: Small retail park and a shared parking lot - even though the place wasnt busy yet the parking lot was full as its shared with Zupa's, Dutch Bro's and Retail. Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly, too loud. Wheelchair accessibility: good access for the disabled.

Relaxed social setting. Clean, no fuss bar/restaurant. Delicious food with friendly, attentive service beginning to end.

Keep going back expecting a difference. The food is good but the service is continually a huge let down. Went today for lunch and got seated right away. Waited 15 mins to make initial order. Food came out in normal time. At that point, our server disappeared. We finished our lunch and drinks and waited…. and waited. Server nowhere to be seen. I finally had to go ask the hostess to find our server so we could pay. 5 mins later, she shows up and I ask for the check. 10 mins later, it arrives with errors. Got that sorted, paid and bailed. It wasn’t very busy but the servers just seem to disappear. We were sitting outside.

Went to eat here tonight. Sat about 5:15 and the whole back half of the restaurant was extremely smokey. They had the front doors open and AC on, so I assume they knew. After about 40 minutes of waiting for nachos and chicken tenders, the tenders came out RAW. My kids and I ate a few fries that were resting on the tenders, but after cutting into the first tender it was raw, pink raw. Table behind us also had left after hearing. Manager did come over and told us not to worry and leave if we wanted. Might have been an off night, but what a disaster. Hopefully none of us get sick.

My husband and I went for date night without the kids, and we had been before, so we knew the food was good. However, this time was different. We got seated immediately. However, our waitress took over 10 minutes to come take our drink order, and by that time, she took our food order as well. We never saw our waitress again after that until we had received the check. We got our appetizer, which was the Buffalo dip, and it was so salty we couldn't eat it. Then we both got the steakhouse burger, except my husband had a pretzel bun. Our food came out, and my burger was so dry. My husband's was burnt, my fries were salty, and his chips were also burnt. We couldn't complain because there was no one to complain too. Our waitress was nowhere to be found, and no one came and checked on us. We are normally very good tippers, but the service and food were so bad, and they were not busy, and we were so upset that we just paid the bill and did not tip and left.we did not complain while there because there was not anyone to complain to, that is how forgotten we felt. I'm very disappointed in this experience as I don't feel it was normal. We wasted 60 bucks on a bad experience and wasted our babysitters time.
