Good coffee, lovely people and monthly jazz. Barry is better for Coaltrains Coffee Shop
Al is a legend and the coffee shop is a lovely space. We missed three trains so we could stay and chat. He sells great clothes, too. Oh, and the bacon rolls are perfect!
Nice place, great to see good coffee in a railway station l.
What a great spot! Took my small boy in for an early lunch and something to drink, there are free books and colouring material for adults and kids alike, great music (jazz, obviously) playing at a low level, art works all over the walls and cabinets of ceramics to peruse while you enjoy your drinks. Lovely handmade blankets available to wrap over your lap if you're feeling chilly (this is a train station, after all, the coolest place in every town!). I had a couple of good flat whites, my son had a milk and we enjoyed some perfect bacon rolls. Crispy bacon in an oven bottom roll with plenty of red sauce, how can you improve on that? Vegetarian options: Many different milks available whatever your dietary choice Kid-friendliness: Free books and colouring materials available! Oh, and tiny gingerbread men. Wheelchair accessibility: All level with the platform, no steps and lots of room inside the space.
