I was born and raise in the south. I grew up with some of the best cooking around and I’m telling you CJ got some amazing food. I’m speechless. Never found great southern cooking like this in Ohio. I mean it’s so good I don’t even know where to start. The fired chicken is out of this world, the corn bread, fired okra, mac n cheese, collard greens, I mean I ordered so much stuff and I’m beyond impressed with their quality and taste!! These people cooking this food got skills!!! If you are not impressed I’m not sure how. Like I’m an Ocean Club type of foodie and this place is on par 100%

The food is BEYOND amazing!! If you are looking for a home cooked meal, this is Definitely MUST try!!! I was able to meet the Chef while I was there she was absolutely amazing!!! Keep up the amazing work!! It’s beyond 5 stars!!

Parking: Free shared parking with the strip mall, availability varies on time/day but evenings tend to be okay as several or the other businesses are not open in the evenings.

I recommend Modern Southern Table in Budd Dairy Hall. They are excellent. As for this place, when customers leave restaurant please consider cleaning the table off instead of leaving dirty dishes sitting on table indefinitely.

Love it! Delicious BBQ sauce. Great dirty rice, sweet potato casserole, pulled pork and ribs. Tried the egg rolls, yummy! Highly recommend if you want some delicious food!

I am visiting my daughter at Lewis Center after having surgery. I can’t eat the food YET but you gave me my goal for a speedy recovery. I will do what I can to help this new restaurant grow and be successful. What a treat. Either have to go South or make it ourselves. I agree with you about the potato salad. Maybe you can give them some hints before I get there. Did you try the ribs? I live in Akron-Canton so will probably have to wait to DIG IN until I come back. Can’t wait. The food was OK I had fried catfish and fried green tomatoes little too salty for me and they need to cut down on the soft cause. Most people can’t take that salt. They have a high blood pressure other than that the surge was OK.

This place is good. Went with friends and we all enjoyed the food. The waitress was cool as hell too. Will definitely go back.
