City Steam Brewery

This place had me arrested for trespassing a few months ago my case was dismissed do to the cops false arrest. Arrested me and kicked me out for drinking a beer. I remember the owner saying "that's what you get". So I'm telling you right back THATS WHAT YOU GET!

I had never been to City Steam until recently but now I’m kicking myself for never going. The layout of the place is incredible and I can’t believe Hartford has something like this place. In top of that the dood and drinks are amazing. It’s our fault guys, we never should have never allowed this to happen to a place as cool as City Steam.

This brewery is a CT staple being in business 40+ years. Classic beer and an excellent hang out spot. I both had the first date with my wife there 9 years ago and the rehearsal dinner for our wedding there. Their naughty nurse beer may have fallen out of style over the years but they have produced some excellent other beers in the tap room. It saddens me that they will be closing for good March 31th 2024 please head over, have a classic beer and enjoy the space while you still can.

We used to come here often before pandemic and for whatever reason have not come back until now. Nothing to do with the restaurant whatsoever. So happy to return and have such a phenomenal evening. Super attentive waiter. We sat in the bar area. The food was fresh and tasty. The drinks were spot on. So happy to comeback and enjoy all the things we remember. Thank you for being awesome and we have missed you. Closing time.. Sad

In Hartford so felt obligated to go here at least once. Whole place smells awful, like a TGI Fridays that hasn't been deep cleaned since 1988. They sell......beer from other breweries here. I'll never be back.
