Circle A Mini Mart

I'm revising my previous review. I gave it 5 stars because it does have delicious food. Problem is, you never know when and if they will be open. I've given up on going there because dozens of times they have been closed during their normal business hours. You have to be consistent on being open or you lose your business. You lost us as customers.

Always a great treat to eat from Circle A!! Edit: It seemed I had given the following review to the wrong Circle A (Circle A in Sulphur, LA), even though I would have bet everything was correct. I apologize if my original review confused anyone. This edit and review is for the Circle A Mini Mart in Vinton, LA, and ONLY for the Circle A in Vinton, LA! This place has AMAZING food! And they NEVER disappoint! My family orders from Circle A Food quite often, and no one has ever had anything bad or negative to say about the food or any of the employees that work there! The food is ALWAYS hot and fresh... ALWAYS! -I recommend the cheeseburger, anything with fried fish, any daily plate-lunch special, boudin balls, egg rolls, and boiled crawfish- when in season. The employees and owners are the nicest people who genuinely care for their customers and they take pride in what they serve! Everything is well priced, so it won't empty your accounts!! You get what you pay for!

Crawfish!!

Off the beaten path 5 minutes from I-10 in Vinton, Louisiana by the Texas border. Small unassuming store with a kitchen that serves plate lunches and crawfish when in season. I was heading down to Lake Charles, LA for work and was told I should stop by and try the crawfish. My coworker and I decided to make the drive from Lakes Charles (roughly 20-25 minutes) for the boiled crawfish ($6.99/lb at the moment). We were not let down. The crawfish was cooked perfectly. Just the right amount of seasoning without it being too salty. Looks like a small family operation so crawfish are cooked in small batches. I like that because it's less of a chance of the crawfish being overcooked like big restaurants. The tail meat slid right out of the shell without breaking apart. My coworker and I finished 3 lbs each with a corn and potato. Saw a couple of people ordering burgers and other plate lunches while we were eating there so it got us interested. We decided to order the shrimp fried rice with salt and pepper chicken wings to go. When I got back to my hotel later the chicken wings were still crispy even after an hour. I will be coming back, hopefully during crawfish season, if I'm ever leaving Texas into Louisiana or vice versa. Sorry I didn't have a picture of the crawfish. My hands had crawfish juice all on them

The food is always fresh, hot, and delicious…with very generous portions. The weekly lunch specials are homemade like Grandma’s. If you haven’t tried them yet…you should! You won’t regret it!

They quote one price on the phone then you make plans and show up the price is more. Pitiful . I grew up when a man said one something he stuck to it.

Mom and Pop place. I've been shopping and getting lunch here for a while. Awesome fried rice in a small town.
