Fabulous store! You name it, they have it, they have items I’ve never heard of before, and I consider myself someone who cooks a lot. Every aisle has great items, if you want to be creative and cook, they have you covered, if you want to grab something already prepared, they’ve got you. Great beer and wine selection. Beautiful bakery! Produce galore! Well done Chucks!
I am agreeing with other recent posters about the slipping customer service and higher prices. Chucks is one of the few stores in Clark county that carries a few products that I will go out of my way to purchase, so I will keep returning until I move later this year. The constant turnover at the front end has left me standing in line for 15 minutes, and it’s getting old. That a few of the items that I have purchased have had their prices double in the past few months has also strained my interest in returning.
Whoever they sold too clearly does not care at all about the store, employees or customers. Very slim pickings for any product. The deli and bakery were half empty. Most of the hot and ready food appeared to have been sitting there for who knows how long. Every worker we interacted with was short, cold and came across as they would rather be anywhere but at Chucks. Prices were horrible, you can find fresher and cheaper at the farmers market (even though I spent $4 on one onion last weekend there).
I've always appreciated this grocery store for its remarkable selection of products and the thoughtful layout that makes shopping a breeze. The quality of items here justifies the slightly higher prices compared to other local stores, offering fair value for the premium experience. However, during my recent visit, I encountered challenges that impacted my experience. Despite the store's amazing collection, the customer service did not meet expectations. It seemed understaffed, leading to longer wait times and a lack of assistance when needed. A specific example was at the meat and seafood counter, where a single staff member was engaged in a very lengthy personal conversation with another customer, delaying service for others. This situation resulted in me changing my meal plans due to the wait. Additionally, the quality of the hot food available for purchase was disappointing. The items seemed to have been sitting out for the entire day, resulting in a dry and brittle texture that did not match the premium price of $8.99 a pound. For the quality received, I would have expected to pay significantly less. It's disheartening to see such a shift in both service and product quality, as these were aspects I previously admired about this store. I hope this feedback serves as a constructive call to action for the store to address staffing levels and ensure the freshness and quality of all products. This could help maintain the excellent shopping experience the store is known for.
Employees very friendly & knowledgeable. Love Romeros Salsa, but wish they carried the Mango Habanero.
Been shopping at the Salmon Creek store since they opened. Today I went in while feeling ill from new meds. Checker Lissa was so rude - she walked away to leave me to pack my own groceries. You just lost a customer!
Chuck's is great, I love their fresh meat selection!
This place is so overpriced since the ownership change. Not worth going to at all unless you are forced to for a specific item (Persian cucumbers)
