Chopsticks House Chinese

Very salty

I have been using this chinese takeaway for 10+ years & it used to be one of the best when the previous lady was there. Since she left a few years ago, I have persisted with mediocre takeaways for a few years. Unfortunately, tonight will be the last. Ordered half a duck for Valentines night, more than half of the half was slimy & fatty (please see picture). Completely inedible. I would say that the chicken chow mein wasn't much better. For nearly £40 of my hard earned cash, i feel robbed. I did call to let them know how substandard it was, which was met with, ‘thank you for letting us know.’ I don’t like complaining about local, family ran businesses but I also wouldn’t want anyone wasting there money like I have tonight.

I thought I would try chopsticks again after a sometime due to a poor meal. Sadly very little has changed. Most of the dishes were watery and lacked flavour. I regret to say I will once again be taking my business elsewhere.

Lovely family run takeaway business providing good food in village location

The food is really tasty, and the price is perfect, in my village we have 2 chinese but I'm happy to travel 5 miles out of my village to get chinese from chop sticks.

Food is always excellent. It's the only one we use. We travel 10 miles to use it. We've never had a poor meal. Recommended. Pleasant staff. Always pre order as it is popular at weekends.

I was fuming to phone them 35mins after my order should have been ready to find out that it should be picked up to be told OH MY GOD on the phone really disappointed by the attitude of the staff a phone call would have been nice …..

Used to be a regular here a few years back but stopped eating as many takeaways. Decided to give it a go again today and the experience was poor. Online ordering system is close to unusable but we persevered and got the order placed. Arrived to be told they’d forgotten to pass the order to the kitchen so hadn’t even started cooking…and that they didn’t have some of the things we’d ordered. Sat and waited whilst they cooked it and all I could hear was bickering in the kitchen. When I got the food home it was at least fairly decent, but nothing outstanding (it used to be fantastic).

Wouldn't of ordered if I had seen the food hygiene sticker before hand its 2 stars
