If you like spicy Szechuan Chinese food, this is the place! They also make their own homemade noodles and dumplings - you can even watch! The staff was friendly and attentive in spite of being super busy. You can order online at their website except for the dry pot (in person or on the phone). It's a customized dish (see photos) and very delicious! Free parking and restrooms available.

We just went to here this past Thursday and Friday evenings. The food is authentic Chinese food, and one of the best Chinese restaurants in the US. We like the fish bowels, brown sugar sweet rice buns, bamboo tip beef, and dandan noodles. We’re from Atlanta area, and always come to Chengdu 7 whenever visit my daughter in RTP.

I kept seeing this place on my feeds and hearing about it! Finally got to try it last night and it was FIRE. All the dishes were so tasty and fresh! The service was CRAZY FAST. You blink and you would miss the servers but they were churning out tables left and right. We enjoyed quite a few dishes and I definitely will be back soon. There is something for everyone on the menu here. I read some of the low reviews on here and LOL. If you don't like flavor and spices then don't come here. They are not in the business of serving BLAND food. Keep it up CHENGDU 7! You do you...

So far the best (most authentic) Chinese restaurant I have experienced in Cary. Service was very good as well. Would recommend and will be back when there's another chance.

Chengdu7, a restaurant we visit once or twice a year during our trips to Raleigh, has seen a positive shift in business. On our recent visit, we were pleased to find the establishment bustling, resulting in a brief 20-minute wait for seating. Previously, about a year ago, the restaurant was only half full. Notably, they’ve introduced a hand-made noodle area where patrons can observe the noodle-making process. Despite the busy atmosphere, the lady boss’s curt request for a prompt order—“Can you hurry up? We’re quite busy”—was understandable. Our disappointment arose when the dishes arrived. The flavors fell short of our memories from previous visits. The braised pork lacked depth and leaned overly sweet. The smoked duck seemed reheated and dry. The hot and sour crab soup failed to deliver on its promise of heat and tanginess. Even the mapo tofu paled in comparison to prepackaged versions from the supermarket. The hand-pulled noodles, once a highlight, now tasted stale—perhaps due to changes in preparation. However, there were bright spots: the rabbit cold dish, despite small bones, impressed us, and the chili-fried large intestine was surprisingly tasty. Unfortunately, due to the lackluster experience and unrefilled drinks during peak hours, we’re uncertain if we’ll return. Chengdu7 no longer lives up to the flavorful restaurant we fondly remembered.

Must try their homemade noodles dishes. The beef noodle pot is extremely good and spicy. Noodles are so long they provide you with scissors!!!
