Food was good

I've been wanting to try cheddars for a long time. So I was happy to learn there's on in the area I was on vacation at. I ordered a ribeye cooked medium. With buttered carrots and broccoli and rice casserole. I ordered a 6oz sirloin for my daughter. The server only asked me about 1 side for her. I didn't realize it at the time. She brings our food out with nothing but her steak on the plate. I asked her wasn't she supposed to get another side? She said oh you got fries right? No and you never asked either. Meanwhile she had the manager with her. She then informed me that the carrots I ordered were not in stock. So I get another side which is salad. I wait for my salad which she got wrong, and when I go cut in my steak, it was completely raw. I inform the server who takes it back to the kitchen. The manager comes over and basically really didn't care what happened. She saw all the mishaps and that my meal kept being delayed, so I feel that some sort of discount should of been in order. But she didn't see it that way. First and last time.

We had a fairly large group and were seated quickly. The service was very good and so was the food. I haven't eaten at Cheddars in a while, but we will put it on the list.

We visited the restaurant on March 3 around 430 with a group of 7….the server we had I believe her name was Janessa was very nice and took our drink order and appetizer order. At this time the restaurant began to fill up and we could tell that our server was becoming overwhelmed ( 4 of us have worked in the business for 20 years). We stopped two different individuals to ask for refills and a salad we were waiting for thinking they would help out our server. The response we got was she will be here soon to help you. In my experience at that time this poor waitress should have been asked by those team members what can we do to help you. We finally received our meals and 3 of them were ice cold and my daughter’s steak was raw. We asked for a manager and I am sorry I never got her name told her our issues and she quickly fixed the steak and apologized…she was great as well. We did explain our concern as fellow servers that we just felt bad for Janessa knowing she needed some help…the manager did discount our bills which we appreciated and made sure she connected with our server to help her get her section under control. I just wanted to write and say the manager and waitress did try to make our visit successful but the teamwork from the other staff we stopped just surprised us…in this business everyone is responsible to make the guests visit a success and for two different members of the servers team just tell her we needed stuff and not help really made us feel even worse for her….i hope in the future your staff can learn to help each other without being asked and just notice if a coworker is struggling.

The only reason I'm not giving all stars is because they were out of a lot of things when we went there.

We love Cheddar's anytime we are in Erie! Fantastic service, GOOD FOOD, and just a relaxing stop. Had the bacon burger this time. Wonderful. Will always go back. Waitress was very attentive and friendly.

My husband and I went there for the first time. All the staff were nice and helpful. They took the time to listen and answer our questions. Nice dining setting. Definitely will be going there again.

First time dining at the Cheddar's. Jenna, our waitress was outstanding! 5 Stars! She's very down to earth, smiled as she had a conversation with us, and checked in with us in a timely manner. The food was amazing. The Dijon grilled chicken, and grilled chicken Alfredo was fantastic. It was a wonderful first-time experience. If you're ever in Erie, PA stop in and ask to be sat in Jenna's area. You won't be disappointed.
