I want the grape and the vineyard in the bottle, not my personality. The French call this terroir and vin methode nature. My winemaking style is hands off, but supportive. Grapes will become wine on their own, if you want it to become good wine you have to keep it safe and happy. I use whole clusters and whole berries, native yeast from the vineyard, and three years in the barrel. The journey in the barrel makes it wine. Not in the bottle.
