Castañeda's Mexican Food

went in to eat after the bar on 3/24/24, our total was $29.60. In the morning i looked at my bank transactions and i see that the guy charged an additional $30 totaling $59.60. This new staff is scamming people, eyeing out whos drunk. Did not know a plate of cheeto fries, 5 pc taquitos and a drink was $59.60. NOT WORTH EATING THERE ANYMORE!

Sad to say I was not impressed, the person that took my order was a horrible greeter , she's was my first impression and on that note I should have left but the young man next to her saved that debacle and asked me what I needed i mentioned that i had not been there before and he took his time and went over the menu and gave me a variety of salsa he was great! To bad I couldn't say the same for the food, the chille relleno was cold and it appeared like the cook just poured enchilada sauce on it and called it a day. The taxi was ok and the burrito eh, all I can say is how do you charge 32 Dollars for this food and it's horrible I don't see you being open much longer with the service I received and the food I didn't finish. In the end I feel bad haven't had to write a review this bad but I had to keep it honest and I really don't think I'll go back since last carretas is in the same parking lot as they are and are much better

Don't order the enchilada they don't even melt the cheese. It's disgusting

Good burritos but don’t go on the weekends untrained staff, as below. Chili relleno only beans; even though it came w/ beans and rice. Charged me for beans? Enchiladas chicken, the worst I’ve had, couple of round hard pieces of chicken and poorly assembled.

Their carnitas and el pastor tortas (aka sandwiches) are really big and yummy. They grill the bread on the flat top so they have a nice texture of chewy on the outside and moist on the inside. The tacos were on the dry side, would just skip next time and stick with the tortas. Also the ladies working were ver y nice .
