The whole fried fish platter in a pozole sauce was so good. All the sides were warm and welcoming. Nice they had a lemon pie for Pi day, great flavor and a wonderfully flaky crust.
I have been wanting to go to Canon for years and finally made it out to Sacramento for my birthday. The ambiance, food, and service were absolutely amazing and I cannot wait to go back! Definitely try the tots, whole fish, and the Chai Again cocktail. Chefs kiss! Dietary restrictions: They had a ton of gluten free options!
Food and drinks were solid, but the service by the wait staff and bartender was next level. It's difficult to find parking, though.
Last night my family and I came to Canon to celebrate my 26th birthday. The appetizers came out before the drinks we ordered and I could see it was a slow night. The whole fish had good flavor however the rest of the appetizers had seasoning issues (no pepper, over salted). A drink was taken before my dad was finished, the waitress for our table was busy at the bar socializing and we were unable to get her attention. All food had been placed on the table and eaten within an hour, giving us another hour before the reservation time was up. We felt incredibly rushed through the first hour and ignored through the second. Because of the drink they said dessert would be comped but it was on our bill twice and we had to wait while that was corrected because we had already paid. This was one of the least pleasant birthday dinners I have ever had and I was shocked by this level of service from a Michelin restaurant. Attached are pictures of our booth, which was filthy.
