Excelente lugar en el Madrid más castizo para tomar unas ricas raciones (nada baratas, por cierto) acompañadas de una fantástica carta de cervezas belgas

For over 7 years, I've been a regular at this quaint Belgian pub nestled in the heart of Madrid. The pub boasts an impressive selection of Belgian beers and delicious Belgium fries. However, a recent change in policy has introduced a 20 euro deposit for the iconic Kwak glass. While I understand the need to safeguard such unique glassware, the amount feels somewhat excessive. It's worth noting that 'La Mayor Cervecería', another Belgian pub nearby, does not impose such a charge. This difference in policy, albeit minor, is something to consider for those who frequent Belgian pubs in Madrid. Westvleteren. What more need be said? If you appreciate fine Belgian ales, mark this spot. A great place right off Plaça Major. Food also looked great and service was good.

Heerlijk kroegje met zeer vriendelijke eigenaresse en personeel. Ik ben tijdelijk buurvrouw en ze heeft altijd tijd voor een praatje. Spreek een beetje Nederlands. Lekkere biertjes! Ik heb er nog niet gegeten maar ga dat zeker nog doen!

Great little joint. We passed this bar and decided to stop for lunch. It was great. The service woman was efficient and helpful with picking out our drinks and food. The food was tasty. And the beer and wine were spot on. The prices were very reasonable.
