Cafe Velo

I tried their matcha latte. It was delicious. Staff was really friendly. Cute place. Indoor seating area is small. They have some seating outside.

Bellingham's lucky to have a place like Cafe velo. I broke a spoke the day I was leaving for a trip to gravel ride on the east side. Andrew was super nice and fit me in for repair. He is clearly talented repairing bikes but just as important to me, he is super approachable and friendly!....

During a First Friday Art Walk I stopped in to see some art and check out this infamous cafe. I was met with stares and whispers, from the usual patrons and owner. Literally everyone left and stood talking outside still shooting glares. It was a very uncomfortable and unfortunate experience. For a space that is meant to be open for all, I was made to feel like other. Very disappointed. ☹️

Atmosphere has become really clicky and unwelcoming in recent years.

Always fantastic! A true community asset!
