This is a muffuletta style sandwich made on a halved sesame focaccia (Laurel), it is filled with mortadella, ham, caciocavollo, parmesan, olive/guindilla spread, chili flake, garlic vinegar, parsley, and garlic chive. The bread is toasted then built and pressed.
The Marigny is a neighborhood in New Orleans that is best known for its art scene and it is nestled between The French Quarter and The Bywater. The correlation between this sandwich and New Orleans is in reference to the muffuletta being one of the iconic sandwiches from this city, partially due to all of the Italian immigrants at the turn of the century.
