Always order Bun Bo Hue. The store is remodel now, hope the owner will keep the place clean.
First timer here. Heard a lot about how good the food was, but service was lacking. Honestly, my first experience here on a Friday afternoon was very good. Love the Bun Bo Hue and rice plate. I will be back.
Both me & my sis tried their "bún bo" today! The broth tasted MSG. The meats ok, not stale as usually served so that has to prove it's their popular dish. Unsure if I'll return again as I tried their bún riêu before & it tasted very bland to me. Oh almost forgot to mention at the minute we sat down they automatically served us 2 glasses of warm pandan leave tea, not my fav drink & didn't ask for & wasn't free of charge, the rest charge was about $2 each. Weird!
In a nutshell; If you're craving some good viet. Food and don't want to wait too long to get seated or after ordering, this is a good place to consider. If you've been to any viet. Food establishment, you'll notice most of them seem to give off a very particular ambiance and feel to it that the moment you walk in you'd immediately be like, yup this fits the bill, and this place has that. Parking wasn't all that difficult, was immediately seated, and Food didn't take too long to arrive after ordering. The food was good. Always liked that a small bowl option in most viet. Places is always enough to satiate my hunger, and this place is the same. Unfortunately, none of the other drink options was available at the time besides soda and tea, but nonetheless, the food was pretty good. The service is what you'd expect of that of a local southeast Asia establishment so they won't always be coming by asking if everything's alright, so may have to kind of call upon them which I honestly don't mind but just to note, they are still accommodating and still meet you with a smile. Overall been to the place a few times and it has always been a good experience.
Omgosh! After traveling to the East coast for the week. We were so happy to be home. First thing we got back into town we went straight to Cô Dô and food was out comfort food. Missed good old Californian food. We ordered seafood noodle but we ate it all and forgotten to take photo of it. Plus Vietnamese coffee. ❤️
I tried out their central vietnamese dishes. Overall, the food is okay, not the best tasting bun bo hue or mi quang, but there are not many options anywhere, even in San Jose. The portion sizes are very large, and the food came out really quickly. The best part was probably the banh bot loc, which is a nice consistency. The bun bo hue also has a lot of the pork legs so if you're into that, that's a plus.
