Burning Rice

I used to love this place. After Covid though, they no longer have the salad and soup bar, and prices have gone up and you have to pay extra for soup. I also feel like portion sizes have went down, feels like the bowl is mainly rice.

Just had lunch here, and I'm never coming back. I read the messages from the owner to other reviews saying they've brought back everything that was taken away a few months back. That is a flat out lie. Their full menu is not back. On top of that, they're still using substandard ingredients that are utterly disgusting. Burning Rice is nothing at all like it was this same time last year.

This used to be one of my favorite places to eat. I noticed a change in the taste of the food. I had the Hot Stone bowl which I feel you have to purchase in order for all of your food to be hot. The Miso Soup was unsatisfying and kinda warm I guess. They also have taken the wings I used to love to get with my meal off the menu. The prices seem to have gone up as well. Too many negatives for me. It only takes a time or two for me to remove a place from my list to eat.

Edit I read that the previous menu had returned so I went to the restaurant to try it again, and I was fascinated. Thank you, thank you for once again providing quality and variety in your menu and giving customers what we were used to. They change the menu , no more brews teas , The food was pre-made, the tofu looked like cardboard, cold, greasy, even in the hot bowl the rice was cold and the food tasteless, the sauces were low quality. They no longer offer soups or shrimp on their menu, what a disappointment.

It was a neat change but just felt like fast food Korean. Nice clean restaurant and friendly staff but the food needs some love to be a 5 star

3/14/24 Update: I came in to get the dumplings/soup and they had already seen this review and apologized immediately. They made it fresh and I gave extras to make it right. Edit to 4-stars because the food is still good imo! BRING BACK THE STEAMED DUMPLINGS THOUGH PLEASE! ORIGINAL: Walked in tonight 3/12/24 at 8:15pm and made a to-go order of reg bowl & abundance bowl. We get home and only have 2 bowls, no dumplings or soup. I immediately call the store twice, no one picks up.

We were recommended by our frnds to try this place but never had an opportunity . This time just planned to order from this place and food was good. They had vegetarian option food and as instructed it was prepared even to delivery order. We asked to add miso soup but they sent dumplings instead may be not available . But we had to dump as we were not if it was actually vegetarian or had any meat in it . Otherwise the other food ordered were too good.
