7.2% ABV / Brewed with Midnight Wheat and Rye, and cold-steeped for several days on Ethiopian coffee beans from our friends at Roast Coffee Co. in Medford, NJ. This imparted a tremendous character of citrus and soft acidity to the beer. We then dry-hopped Moonless Night at 150% our normal rate with Mosaic, Ekuanot, and Amarillo hops. It pours black-as-midnight-on-a-moonless-night, so call it what you will— Black IPA, Cascadian Dark Ale, India Black Ale—it doesn’t matter: the explosive, layered flavors and aromas of deep tropical citrus and resinous hop character do not judge!
