Britannia Hotel Edinburgh

The room we stayed in on the first floor was clean and comfortable, which was all we really needed for a short weekend visiting Edinburgh. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from Princes Street. The appearance of the rooms and building is somewhat outdated but we felt the pricing reflected this fairly.

There is no zero star that's why I give 1 star. It was one of the bad experience in my life. Their services is very very poor. I book from agoda with discount took a VIP deal with £60 one double bed room for 1 night. They mention they will provide free wifi, Restaurant, and many more.......but after book I got nothing. Even drinking water they told me to take from washroom. I didn't get any sandal in room. Even mobile network not work in my room didn't able to manage internet from my data. But they mention free wifi. Then I wint receptions and ask where is my wifi. They told its only in the reception area if you need free wifi in your room you have to pay £7!!!! TV channels are very old so theres nothing for entertainment. Room wad dirty. It looks like they didn't wash previously after checkout. No exhaustive fan in washroom. No sandel in washroom. Bed are also uncleaned. They didn't wash properly. I never recommend this hotel for anyone. Rooms: 1st floor Food & drinks: No food and drinking water. You have to take it from washroom.

Functional hotel from whom I booked a windowless room with breakfast but found that the only free wi-fi on the ground floor reception / lounge area. Breakfast was a buffet built around a full English Breakfast, although many other breakfast types were available.

Totalmente mentira las imágenes que muestran por internet. El personal es muy amable aunque es lo único bueno que puedo decir del hotel. La ubicación no está mal, está cerca de Dean village y Haymarket pero de todo lo demás son unos 40 min andando. Son bastantes estrictos con el tema del checkin lo cual lo veo muy mal puesto que no puedes aprovechar el día pendiente del horario para hacer la entrada. Tuvimos que estar cargando las maletas. La habitación daba al río. El ruido del mismo es bastante molesto puesto que las ventanas no aíslan bien, además presentan numerosas goteras. El baño y la habitación en general estaban bastante sucias, incluso encontramos basura del anterior inquilino. Las camas un instrumento de tortura, con muelles que se clavan por todas partes posiblemente por lo antiguos que serán dichos colchones. La bañera, además de lo antigua y el estado tan malo en el que se encontraba, tenía aspecto de estar sucia. No cambiaron las toallas a pesar de estar una semana de estancia en dicho hotel ni limpiaron la habitación. Por el precio que tiene no ofrece un servicio acorde. Me pareció nefasto. No hay wifi, a pesar de que sí que lo incluyen en la oferta. No volvería a este hotel, las condiciones que ofrecen respecto al precio no compensan. Rooms: Sucias, pequeñas, bastante frías y sin servicio de limpieza Nearby activities: Museo de arte moderno a 5 min y Dean village a 10 min andando. También se encuentra cerca la catedral de St. Mary Noteworthy details: Bastante lejos de la zona de Royal Miles y Princess Street a unos 40 min

Giving 2 star because of the location. Been in many hotels in many capital cities, for this price im always got far more. Rooms arent clean, the bath is just terrible, the receptionist girl is rude. I should check the comments before i booked but was in a rush. Its ok for 1 night if ubdesperate but otherwise avoid.

Un hotel básico, cumple su función. Aunque en tres días me ha sorprendido que no entran a hacer las habitaciones. Pero por ese precio y ubicación no puedes pedir más.

It's not bad if you're a backpacker looking for a place to stay for one night.
