With 45 breweries in operation towards the end of the 19th century and at the beginning of the 20th, Brooklyn laid claim to being one of the major brewing capitals of the U.S. 11 of those breweries were crammed into a 12-block stretch in Williamsburg and Bushwick which was colloquially known as “Brewer’s Row.” Our name pays homage to the rich beer history of Brooklyn — a history we work hard every day to honor and carry on for a new generation of New Yorkers.
