Food was amazing, service was great, drinks and desserts were off the chain good. Any bad reviews are just jaded.
I liked this dish very much.. #representandolaRAZA.
Had dinner here over the weekend and everything was SO good- far exceeded any expectations. We started with the Pear and Goat Cheese Salad and Calamari and Shrimp. Both were fantastic. I love how the goat cheese was fried and served warm over the salad, and the calamari had a perfect balance of shrimp. Not to mention the Chipotle Remoulade sauce was perfection. The pears on the salad were also delicious. Then we got the Cornbread Muffin, Bison Meatballs, and Pork Mac n Cheese. The cornbread was pretty good- not mindblowing but certainly not disappointing. We enjoyed it with the peach reduction from the meatballs, too. That peach reduction was SO good! And while my first tastes of the pork mac started off without a bang, it got better and better with each bite and became a favorite! Lastly, we went with the recommendation of Maple Butter cake with Cinnamon and Brown Sugar ice cream. Absolutely delicious. While I am sure the apple pie is equally amazing, I wanted to try something different with the cake, and am so glad we did. All in all, the meal was 11/10! We were still thinking about it the next day. Would absolutely love to return next time I am back in Carbondale. Also, this experience made me feel like so much food in Denver is good, but not amazing. I want to add the ambience and service was also exceptional! Thank you so much for a great experience and dinner! It absolutely contributed to our amazing weekend spent in the area.
We could not speak more highly of the Brass Anvil. We stopped in for drinks and dessert and sat at the bar - Jay was our bartender and he was a gem. The cherry cheese cake was phenomenal and all of Jays recommendations were on point.
We Travel to eat here..So So good
Fantastic night!!! Loved the atmosphere. Service was friendly and efficient. Beverages were well balanced, and the food was oh so good!!! Definitely a great place for a date night.
We recently celebrated a friend’s birthday dinner here. The restaurant was very quiet that evening and we practically had our server to ourselves. Our server, Laurie, was so much fun and made us feel right at home. She was great with suggestions, too. Our party had the filet mignon, the rib eye steak, and the beef rib ragout. Each meal was just exceptional in flavor and quantity. They use beef from the Nieslanik ranchers (locally sourced) and it was evident in the freshness and flavor. We also shared sides of mushrooms and creamed corn—both delicious. And for desert, we shared some of the amazing butter cake with vanilla bean ice cream. Just scrumptious! Highly recommend. Parking: It’s downtown where parking can be a challenge—but generally, you can find parking within a block.
I would recommend eating here. The only thing we didn't care for was how tight the seating was. Everything else was good.
