A lovely venue very clean and organised
Perfect venue to celebrate a Birthday in Hemel Hempstead, dont understand reviews from people like Will, who dont identify themselves, set up a bogus account, just to bad mouth a family ran business.
Just want to say a huge thank you to Sally and all the team at Boxmoor Hall for ensuring our wedding reception was just perfect. Outstanding service from all the staff, the ballroom looked truly beautiful and we could not fault anything. The banquet buffet was amazing, food was fresh, plentiful and of outstanding quality. All round 5***** service, will not hesitate to recommend this venue to anyone!
Very poor experience. Visited for a wedding reception on a warm summer night. Pompous doormen continually closing windows in an attempt to microwave the guests,( the venue abuts a main road), very small bar area and inexperienced staff, prices that beggar belief and that constantly change for the same drinks. Continued harassment of the groom for money throughout the evening, despite a small fortune being paid up front. Not to mention the obstructive methods employed just because "their" food/DJ wasn't accepted due to astronomical charges. If you need a stress free event - AVOID at all costs, otherwise you will be paying them !!
Visited Boxmoor Hall for the first time for a friend's party and loved it! Amazed that this venue is in the centre of Hemel Hempstead and I have never been before. The staff were amazing, very friendly and extra helpful - going out of their way to make sure my friend had a great night - which he did - definitely a night to remember. My friend had ordered the mini bowl foods and yes they were small (as the name suggests) but there were so many of them we were all full - much more exciting than an old fashioned buffet! The bar was no more expensive than anywhere else - was expecting it to be pricier. The biggest problem is that my wife now wants to hold her 40th there.
Had are engagement party at this venue to which Sally the owner recommended the food at a cost of £10.50 a head none of are 60 guests were impressed tiny portions and not worth the money the hall was freezing cold all night BUT the biggest insult was the price of the drinks £4.45 for pint of Guinness pored out of a can in front of us really gutted we used this venue for are special day
